Dr. Manal Eid Alosaimi is Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), College of Medicine, where she has been engaged in academic field since 2015. She obtained her PhD (2018-2021) in Clinical Pharmacology with a specialization in cardiovascular diseases (CVD) from the College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences (MVLS) at the University of Glasgow, UK. Under the supervision of Professor Sandosh Padmanabhan, her doctoral research focused on a comprehensive study that compared the effectiveness of Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitors (ACEIs) and Angiotensin-Receptor Blockers (ARBs) in the prevention of CVD among a cohort of 317,984 high-risk participants, monitored over an average duration of 3.03 years. Prior to her doctoral studies, Dr. Alosaimi earned her Master of Science (2012-2014) in Clinical Pharmacology, with Distinction, from University of Glasgow, UK. She examined the effects of raising high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol with niacin, fibrates, and statins therapy on cardiovascular outcomes. Dr. Alosaimi is also a graduate of the College of Pharmacy at King Saud University, where she completed her bachelor's degree from 2002 to 2007. Her extensive research contributions significantly enhance the understanding of pharmacological strategies for the management and prevention of CVD.
