Programs and short courses
The Applied College offers and develops short, flexible and interactive university programs that meet the labor market needs as one of the Human Capacity Development Program (HCDP) initiatives, which the National Center for E-Learning (NeLC) is actively involved in. This initiative provides short university-level e-learning programs designed to meet the demands of the labor market and are available online, allowing learners to study from anywhere and at any time, as flows:
First: Short Programs (Consecutive Certificates): These programs typically involve a series of related certificates, allowing individuals to build upon their expertise in a chosen field over a relatively short period. All programs are accredited and compatible with the programs offered by the Applied College and leading to an associate degree or an intermediate degree in various fields. They consist of 2 to 6 courses, with a minimum of 3 credit hours and a maximum of 23 credit hours.
Second: Short Non- Degree Programs (Micro-certifications): These programs are focused, intensive courses designed to quickly equip individuals with specific skills or knowledge in a particular field, but they don't lead to a traditional degree. They are accredited and compatible with the programs offered by the Applied College and consist of 2 to 6 courses, with a minimum of 3 credit hours and a maximum of 23 credit hours.
