Under the sponsorship of H.E. the Rector of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, Dr. Einas bint Suleiman Al-Eisa, The Simulation and Skills Development Center organizes a conference entitled "Gathering of Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialists" at the headquarter of the center for a period of three days commencing from Wednesday 2 Rajab 1441 AH, corresponding 26 February 2020 AD.
The conference, which has to be held for 30 credit hours approved by Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, focuses on specialized training in designing, selecting, and applying the healthcare simulation techniques in the medical education, as well as the professional development of simulation staff in order to achieve integration of the systems.
A number of specialized local and international speakers would participate in the scientific program of the conference in order to present 40 different workshops in the field of simulation-based training for all health practitioners.
From her side, Dr. Rola Al-Rabah, the Executive Director of the Simulation Center, stated that this conference is held in cooperation with SimGHOSTS Organization, which is one of the most prominent organizations of simulation technologies all over the world, and is working in partnership with the American Health Simulation Association, with emphasizing that it is the first event of its type locally that targets the category of specialists in health and medical simulation technology and medical education in order to enrich the content in the region with regard to innovations and developments of medical simulation and its uses in health education and exchange of experiences with specialists in this field.
In this context, the Executive Director indicated that organizing such conference by simulation and clinical skills development center has been implemented according to its own vision, which includes achieving leadership in everything relevant to health simulation and its usage in achieving the quality of health education and patient safety.
Furthermore, the event would be accompanied by opening an exhibition of healthcare simulation supplies and appliances with the participation of health colleges and medical firms.
