The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University continues to receive registration applications for the First Arabic Language Competition until Sunday, 18 August 2024. The Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University Arabic Language Competition focuses on Arabic language arts and highlighting linguistic talents. It includes three main categories with multiple branches: • Written Arts (poetry, short story, theatrical text) • Performing Arts (debates, oral storytelling) • Visual Arts (digital children’s stories, Arabic calligraphy) The competition targets female students from all academic programs and seeks to strengthen the status of the Arabic language, reinforce its cultural value, deepen students’ sense of belonging, and promote national and humanitarian values. It also aims to create a motivating competitive environment that fosters active linguistic engagement. The competition works to develop students’ creative abilities in expressive and performative fields while employing modern technologies in the service of the Arabic language, ultimately preparing students for participation in the cultural and scientific forum for female students at universities and higher education institutions in GCC countries. The College announced that the competition is organized in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasizes the Arabic language as a pillar of national identity, and in support of the University’s 2025 Strategic Plan goals of strengthening community engagement and achieving knowledge impact through effective societal initiatives.
