Princess Nourah University Achieves Top Rankings at the Saudi International Exhibition for Inventions and Innovations “SGiE 2025”

The College of Science and the College of Applied Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University achieved top rankings and won gold and silver medals during its participation in the Saudi International Exhibition for Inventions and Innovations (SGiE 2025), held in Jeddah. The participation of research teams from the Department of Physics at the College of Science resulted in outstanding rankings and notable awards. The “Natahara” team won first place and the gold medal in the field of radiation security, in addition to receiving the Grand Exhibition Award. The “Hope-mate” team earned first place and the gold medal for a digital platform that uses artificial intelligence to analyze the condition of cancer patients and survivors, along with a Special Exhibition Award. Meanwhile, the “MAY” team secured first place and the gold medal, as well as the Special Exhibition Award, in the field of improving the quality of life for multiple sclerosis patients. In a related context, several faculty members and students from the Applied College won the silver medal for the “InfoCity” innovation, a smart device that provides instant multilingual information about tourist landmarks, services, and events. They also received the silver medal for “The Predictive Smart Glasses,” an assistive technological innovation that integrates predictive artificial intelligence with multiple sensing systems to offer the visually impaired a safer and more independent navigation experience. This participation reflects the level of excellence and creativity achieved by the women of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, showcasing their ability to compete in innovation arenas and contribute to advancing science through modern technologies. It also aligns with the university’s Strategic Plan 2025, which aims to prepare a generation capable of competing locally and globally, enhance academic and research excellence, and build strong communication bridges with both the local and global community.
