In conjunction with the International Students’ Day, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized the “Downtown Nourah” event to enhance awareness of cultural diversity among university students. The event aimed to introduce students to the cultures of different peoples, strengthen the integration of international students within the university community, encourage understanding and cooperation, and promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge. The two-day event included interactive booths and diverse cultural activities, in addition to live presentations reflecting the heritage and cultures of (25) countries worldwide, offering students a tasting experience of some of the most popular dishes from around the world. Princess Nourah University hosts approximately (1,000) students representing more than (60) countries worldwide, receiving education and knowledge at the University. This reflects a multicultural educational environment supportive of international students and aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, which places strong emphasis on strengthening higher education and attracting international students to the Kingdom as part of a comprehensive development strategy aimed at enhancing educational quality and promoting cultural exchange with countries around the world. It is worth noting that the International Students’ Day, observed annually on 17 November, serves as an opportunity to recognize the efforts of international students who enrich university educational experiences and to highlight the importance of higher education as a means of enhancing mutual understanding and building more inclusive, aware, and connected societies. This initiative comes as part of the Deanship of Student Affairs’ contributions to achieving Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025 by strengthening ties with local and global communities and creating a culture-enriching university environment with vibrant extracurricular activities that play an effective role in building students’ educational and life experiences.
