Nature and Goals of the Program

The Information Systems program serves as a bridge between computer science disciplines and various professional fields. The program aims to provide graduates with the theoretical foundations of both computing and information, enabling them to analyze, design, develop, and operate information systems.

The program qualifies female cadres capable of working in various information systems jobs in both the public and private sectors, including but not limited to: 1. Analysis and design of information systems. 2. Development and design of software. 3. Project management. 4. Enterprise resource planning and management. 5. Information security. 6. Print media monitoring. 7. Database management and analysis. 8. The educational and academic field in public and higher education institutions.

  2. K2 — Identify appropriate research and investigation methods and techniques related to current and emerging topics within the IS disciplines.
  3. S1 — Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline.
  4. S2 — Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.
  5. S3 — Support the delivery, use, and management of information systems within an information systems environment.
  6. S4 — Analyze a complex computing problem and apply research methodologies, principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
