Nature and Goals of the Program

The Travel and Tourism Management Program aims to: - Prepare academically and professionally qualified graduates in the Travel and Tourism Management field who are able to compete in the labor market. - Build the graduates' capabilities to deal with various variables, developments and situations in the Travel and Tourism field. - Build strategic partnerships with government and private institutions in the Travel and Tourism field to develop field training. - Propose activities and initiatives that contribute to increasing tourism awareness and contribute to community service and its development. - Prepare students for the professional certification exam (Amadeus) by studying the following courses: • Introduction to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry • Cross-Cultural Communications • Travel Agency management • Airline Reservation Systems.

1.To prepare scientifically and professionally qualified graduates in tourism and travel management, capable of competing in the job market.
2. To build the graduates' capacity to handle various variables, developments, and situations in the field of tourism and travel.
3. To build strategic partnerships with governmental and private institutions in tourism and travel to develop training.
4. To suggest activities and initiatives that contribute to increasing tourism awareness, serving, and developing the community.
5. To prepare students for the Amadeus professional certification exam through their study of the following courses: Introduction to Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Cross Cultural Communications, Travel Agency Management and Airline Reservation Systems.

1-To identify tourism and travel as a phenomenon and as a business system.
2-To describe the Saudi tourist products and services.
3-To recognize the definitions, terminologies, and concepts of tourism and travel.

1-To plan resources for effective and efficient tourism operations.
2- To use knowledge of best practices to further sustainability (economic, environmental, and cultural/social) in the industry.
3-To Manage the needs and requirements of different types of tourist.
