About the Center:

Based on the university's vision and its commitment to excellence and distinction in various fields, and with the increasing global and local interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, and the support of ambitious youth ideas and innovative projects, the College of Computer and Information Sciences has established the Innovation Center to serve as a crucial gateway and contributor to achieving these goals.
The center works to raise awareness of emerging technologies by organizing courses and workshops, creating a sustainable interactive environment that helps students acquire knowledge, skills, and scientific experiences in these technologies through camps. It fosters an innovative atmosphere to discover challenges and generate ideas through hackathons, while nurturing ideas, inventions, and talents until they become tangible realities. The Innovation Center aims to be a vibrant hub for students in the college who are eager to turn their innovations into actual projects.
Additionally, the center focuses on offering courses, workshops, training camps, advisory hours, and free workspaces utilizing its resources, such as robots and various devices. This initiative aims to produce a generation of innovators in the field of computer science who can keep pace with and excel in the job market, serving the nation and contributing to the wise vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia across various domains.

Innovation Center's Unit

1-     Competition Unit:

The Competition Unit focuses on supporting and encouraging students of the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to participate in local and international competitions and hackathons, achieving advanced results and winning awards, while enhancing the competence of the university's students. This unit aims to:

·Build a community that loves creativity and innovation through participation in local and international competitions and hackathons.

Provide a suitable environment for students of the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to participate in local and international competitions, creating competitive educational opportunities through competitions and hackathons held at the college that simulate local and international contests.

2-     Robotics and Devices Unit:

The Robotics and Devices Unit focuses on everything new in the field of robotics and modern technical devices. This unit aims to:

  • Provide modern devices for college students to practice all that is new in this field, breaking the barrier between theoretical and practical education. The center contains a variety of interactive robots and devices.
  • Comprehensive training for the largest possible number of students on robotics and modern devices to ensure high-quality educational outcomes in the field, capable of facing the challenges and requirements of the job market.
