Overview: 

The Vice Deanship of Academic Affairs is a fundamental pillar of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, responsible for overseeing the educational process and ensuring the quality of academic programs across its various departments. Its primary mission is to prepare competent female graduates who excel both academically and professionally in the fields of computer and information sciences. This is accomplished through educational programs that adhere to international standards and through pioneering partnerships that contribute to building a knowledge-based economy and advancing scientific research. Moreover, the Vice Deanship fosters a conducive learning environment by providing and managing classrooms and specialized laboratories, ensuring their administrative and technical supervision to facilitate theoretical lectures and practical training in accordance with the highest academic standards.​



​Key Responsibilities:

-Preparing the Vice Deanship's annual plan and monitoring its implementation upon approval. 

-Implementing the regulations of study and examinations at universities and ensuring adherence by the relevant units and departments. 
-Monitoring activities of the Teaching and Learning Quality Department, as well as implementing the quality management system at the college, and ensuring compliance with academic accreditation standards in various academic programs. 
-Supervising academic programs at the college level and monitoring the development of programs and curricula. 

-Supervising the academic process at the College and fostering an environment conducive to educational excellence.  

-Supervising field training and standardizing related guides and procedures across the College, while accommodating the diversity of specializations and programs. Additionally, strengthening collaboration with technical organizations and companies to provide high-quality cooperative training for college students across various academic programs. 

-Monitoring the activities of the Educational Affairs Department through its various units and committees, including examination administration, academic advising, new students' program, academic probation committees, equivalency committees, etc. 

-Supervising the activities of the Registration Unit, including the management of course schedules within the academic system, among other responsibilities. 

-Managing faculty affairs related to teaching loads, including workload assignments, calculation of overload hours, department councils, and other related matters. 

-Monitoring the performance of the Laboratories and Learning Resources Department, ensuring the readiness of laboratories, and the availability of software and various learning resources for students and faculty members. 

-Supervising the preparation of the College's academic schedules and the reservation of classrooms. 

-Supervising educational affairs and faculty-related matters and submitting them to the College Council. 

-Supervising the affairs of adjunct faculty and professional practitioners, including related responsibilities, and monitoring the performance of the Academic Titles Committee. 

-Overseeing various student cases such as leave of absence, deferral, withdrawal, and other related matters. 

-Supervising the organization of the annual graduation projects competition and exhibition to promote innovation and excellence among students, in addition to coordinating a mini-career day to strengthen collaboration with the labor market and support the employment of graduates. 

-Monitoring the performance of the E-Learning Unit and ensuring the full activation of the Blackboard system across all courses offered by the College.
