​Director's Message: 

The College of Computer and Information Sciences seeks to contribute to the development of a knowledge-based economy by aligning learning outcomes with the needs of the labor market and the evolving requirements of society, while ensuring the sustainability of its educational, research, and innovation programs in the college. 

To achieve these objectives, the Department of Strategic Partnerships and Community Responsibility works to establish and activate partnerships and agreements with leading educational institutions and technology companies, both locally and internationally. These initiatives are aligned with the strategic directions of the College of Computer and Information Sciences and are designed to provide mutual benefits for all stakeholders ​

Strategic Partnerships Unit: ​

​Objectives: 

  1. Contribute to the development of a knowledge economy through community and global partnerships, by attracting and establishing strategic local and international collaborations in alignment with the college and university's strategic directions. 
  1. Strengthen and activate strategic partnerships with educational institutions and global professional companies to ensure the sustainability of the college's educational, research, and innovation programs. This will be achieved by offering a variety of training programs designed to benefit the college's female students and affiliates. 
  1. Develop and enhance the capabilities of female students and faculty members in the College of Computer and Information Sciences through collaboration with the private sector, as well as with local and international universities. The goal is to qualify both students and faculty, improve professional skills, and provide an environment that is aligned with the latest technological advancements. 
  1. Align learning outcomes with the labor market by offering training programs in collaboration with leading global technology companies in the technical field. This will help qualify female students, enhance professional skills, and ensure an environment that integrates the latest technological advancements. 
  1. Develop the college's self-financing sources in a manner that generates financial revenues for the college, in accordance with the university's objectives to increase investment in strategic partnerships and in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. 

    Tasks: 

    1. Develop an annual implementation plan to ensure that partnership courses are included in the study plan for female students in alignment with educational outcomes. 
    1. Establish strategic partnerships with educational institutions and global professional companies to achieve sustainability for the college's educational, research, and innovation programs. 
    1. Manage partnerships and agreements post-signing and monitor their activation. 
    1. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and agreements with various stakeholders. 
    1. Prepare quarterly and annual reports for the Strategic Partnerships Department. 
    1. Complete all related tasks assigned to the department. ​

    Community Responsibility Unit: 

    In recognition of the vital role played by Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in serving and developing the community, the College of Computer and Information Sciences is committed to enhancing its community engagement through the Community Responsibility Unit. This initiative provides opportunities for faculty members, administrative staff, and female students to offer purposeful and distinguished services and participate in meaningful activities that benefit the community both within and outside the university. The unit also focuses on fostering the professional development of faculty and students, equipping them with the skills and qualifications needed to meet the demands of the broader community. Additionally, it enables them to access high-quality opportunities by participating in the events and initiatives sponsored by the unit. ​


    Objectives:​ 

    The primary objective of the unit is to enhance the role of the College of Computer and Information Sciences in serving the community, in alignment with the strategic plans of both the college and the university, through the following: 

    1. Aligning the unit's operations with the vision and mission of the college and university. 
    1. Developing, implementing, and monitoring operational plans for the unit that are consistent with the vision and mission of the college and university. 
    1. Activating the roles of academic departments within the college to contribute to community service. 
    1. Promoting the culture of community service and volunteer work at the college level. 

    Tasks:​ 

    1. Developing an approved executive plan that aligns with the objectives of community service. The plan includes various activities and events, such as training courses, scientific seminars, workshops, awareness campaigns, discussion forums, international days, and more, all provided by the members of the College of Computer and Information Sciences as part of their community service efforts. 
    1. Encouraging faculty and staff to actively participate in community service activities. 
    1. Implementing and overseeing the unit's activities and events. 
    1. Monitoring and documenting the unit's activities and events on the volunteer platform for record-keeping and reporting purposes. 
    1. Documenting participation forms for all individuals involved in community service activities. 
    1. Issuing certificates for the activities provided to both trainees and trainers. 
    1. Preparing the quarterly and annual community service reports. 
    1. Completing all related tasks assigned to the unit.
