Overview:

The College of Computer and Information Sciences seeks to contribute to building a knowledge economy, aligning learning outcomes with the needs of the labor market and the changing requirements of society, and ensuring the sustainability of educational, research and innovation programs in the college. To achieve these goals, the Department of Strategic Partnerships and Community Responsibility works to establish and activate partnerships and agreements with a group of leading educational institutions and technology companies in the technical field, both locally and internationally, in line with the orientations of the College of Computer and Information Sciences and in a way that benefits all parties.

In addition, believing in the effective role of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in serving and developing the community, the College of Computer and Information Sciences has been keen to activate its community activity through the Department of Strategic Partnerships and Community Responsibility by providing the opportunity for faculty and administrative staff and female students to provide purposeful and distinguished services and participation to the community inside or outside the university.

Partnership Unit:

Objectives:

1. Contribute to building a knowledge economy represented by community and global partnerships, by attracting and concluding strategic local and international partnerships in line with the college and university's orientations.

2. Strengthen and activate strategic partnerships with educational institutions and global professional companies to achieve sustainability for educational, research and innovation programs in the college, by offering various packages of training programs that serve the college's female students and affiliates.

3. Develop and enhance the capabilities of female students and faculty members in the College of Computer and Information Sciences through cooperation with the private sector, and local and international universities to qualify female students and faculty members, raise professional skills, and provide an environment compatible with the latest technologies.

4. Work to align learning outcomes with the labor market, by providing training programs in cooperation with a group of leading global technology companies in the technical field, to qualify female students, raise professional skills, and provide an environment compatible with the latest technologies.

5. Develop the college's self-financing sources in a way that returns financial revenues to the college, in line with the university's goals of raising the level of investment in the field of strategic partnerships and in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

6. Spreading the culture of community service and volunteer work at the college level.​

Tasks:

1. Develop an annual implementation plan to ensure that corporate courses are offered in the study plan for female students in line with educational outcomes.

2. Establish strategic partnerships with educational institutions and global professional companies to achieve sustainability for educational, research and innovation programs at the college.

3. Manage partnerships and agreements after signing and follow up on their activation.

4. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and agreements with various parties.

5. Prepare the quarterly and annual Strategic Partnerships Department report.

6. Complete all related tasks assigned to the department.

7. Monitoring and documenting the department's activities and events on the volunteer platform.

Community Responsibility Unit:

In belief in the effective role of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in serving and developing the community, the College of Computer and Information Sciences has been keen to activate its community activity through the Community Service Unit by providing the opportunity for faculty and administrative staff and female students to provide purposeful and distinguished services and participations to the community inside or outside the university. The unit also works to activate its role in developing the skills of faculty members and students, and qualifying them to meet the requirements of the community outside the college walls, and also enabling them to obtain quality opportunities by participating in the events and initiatives adopted by the unit.

​Objectives:

The main objective of the unit is to activate the role of the College of Computer and Information Sciences in serving the community in line with the strategic plan of the college and university, through the following:

• Aligning the workflow of the unit in line with the vision and mission of the college and university.

• Developing, implementing and following up on operational plans for the unit in line with the vision and mission of the college and university.

• Activating the roles of departments at the college level in serving the community.

• Spreading the culture of community service and volunteer work at the college level.​

Tasks:

• Developing an approved executive plan in line with the objectives of community service. The plan includes various activities and events such as training courses, scientific seminars, workshops, awareness campaigns, discussion groups, international days, and others provided by the members of the College of Computer and Information Sciences as a community service.

• Encouraging the college's members to participate in community service activities.

• Implementing and following up on the unit's activities and events.

• Monitoring and documenting the unit's activities and events on the volunteer platform.

• Documenting participation forms in any community service activity.

• Issuing certificates of activities provided to trainees and trainers.

• Preparing the quarterly and annual community service report.

• Accomplishing all related tasks assigned to the unit.​
