The College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University hosted an event titled "CODE MINDS WEEK" in conjunction with the "LEAP2025" conference. Organized by the Computer Club's Tech Minds Track, the event took place from February 4 to 6, 2025, on the college's main stage.
The purpose of the event was to promote knowledge and awareness of emerging technologies, highlighting their role in fostering innovation, addressing future challenges, and enhancing practical skills related to digital access.
A variety of workshops were held, including one on Figma and another called "From Innovation to Reality." These workshops were designed to equip female students with professional design skills, teach them how to analyze ideas, and train them to use Figma for technical projects and innovative applications. Participants learned how to build prototypes and effectively plan and implement projects.
Another notable workshop, titled "The Latest Innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI)", focused on smart technologies used in technical projects. The session explored how these technologies can be enhanced for modern applications, provided opportunities for participation in local and global hackathons, and highlighted how students can engage in such competitions.
"CODE MINDS WEEK" provided an innovative platform where creative female students could collaborate in an environment that blended technical creativity with the spirit of competition. This initiative aimed to enhance technical and innovative skills and prepare students to participate in both local and international tech competitions.
Dr. Manal Al-Ohali, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, emphasized the importance of nurturing an educational environment that fosters future skills, encourages competitiveness, and aligns with the college's mission to create a technically and cognitively enriched atmosphere.
