About Academic Guidance

Academic advising represents a central pillar in the educational process, as it is the primary support for the student's university journey. Academic advising seeks to assist students in choosing the most suitable academic specialization based on their capabilities, academic interests, and the needs of the job market. This is achieved by guiding them in selecting the appropriate courses according to the academic plan.
The academic advisor works to familiarize the student with the college, its deanship, and its supporting departments, as well as how to access their services in cooperation and coordination with the college administration. The advisor also educates the student about the potential academic difficulties they may face, and how to prepare study plans and schedules. Thus, academic advising is an important service that positively contributes to the student's academic and professional growth, and increases their chances of success in their studies and the realization of their future aspirations.
