The Vice Deanship of Academic Affairs is a fundamental component of the College of Computer and Information Sciences. Its various departments and units oversee the educational process and ensure the quality of its programs, contributing to the achievement of the college's vision and mission in preparing outstanding women in terms of scientific, research, and technical skills within an interactive learning environment, managed by qualified competencies. This is in alignment with the vision of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University through community and global partnerships. The agency is also responsible for providing and overseeing an appropriate educational environment, including classrooms and specialized laboratories, both administratively and technically, to deliver theoretical lectures and practical training according to the highest academic standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Vice-Deanship for Academic Affairs:

1. Supervising the preparation of the annual plan for the College's Academic Affairs Agency and following up on its implementation after approval.
2. Overseeing the implementation of the regulations and policies governing study and examination procedures for the undergraduate level, and ensuring their proper application by the academic units within the college.
3. Supervising all academic programs offered by the college.
4. Monitoring the educational process within the college and providing an appropriate learning environment that supports high-quality and distinguished education.
5. Proposing new academic programs for the college or enhancing existing ones in coordination with the academic departments, and following up on their implementation after obtaining the necessary approvals.
6. Supervising the work of quality committees, including program quality assurance, examinations, evaluation, and curriculum development.
7. Overseeing the implementation of the college's Quality Management System and ensuring compliance with academic accreditation standards.​​

Guided by the College's vision and mission, the Vice Deanship is committed to strengthening the College's role in academic leadership and promoting sustainable development across its various fields.We work with a spirit of teamwork to accomplish the College's objectives and are always dedicated to achieving excellence in everything we do. ​

 Duties of the Vice Dean of the College for Research, Innovation, and Business:

  1. Overseeing the annual research plan of the college approved by the competent authority.
  2. Supervising graduate programs in the college, including their examinations and committees, in accordance with the Unified Regulations on Graduate Studies and their executive regulations at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
  3. Supervising scientific societies and scientific journals within the college.
  4. Overseeing the development of partnerships and the college's relationships with external sectors.
  5. Supervising the college's investments and its developmental and specialized activities.
  6. Creating a supportive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
  7. Establishing partnerships with relevant community and service sectors and fostering constructive engagement based on partnership and social responsibility, in coordination with the General Directorate of Institutional Communication and with the Deanship of Graduate Studies when partnerships are related to graduate programs.
  8. Monitoring the implementation of the college's social responsibility plan in cooperation with the University's Social Responsibility Administration.
  9. Proposing new graduate programs or developing existing ones in coordination with academic departments, and following up on their implementation after approval.
