Initiatives

Initiatives

The Dean's List is an honorary list presented to outstanding female students, whether academically or in extracurricular activities.

Objectives:

1- Enhancing the Culture of Academic Excellence by encouraging students to exert their maximum academic efforts and achieve outstanding academic results according to the highest standards of academic performance.

2- Raising the Level of Educational Outcomes by motivating students to develop their technical and research skills, and actively participate in extracurricular activities.

3- Recognizing Outstanding Achievements by honoring distinguished students and highlighting them as role models, which contributes to boosting morale and motivating other students.

4- Strengthening Institutional Loyalty by building a positive relationship between students and the college, and instilling values of seriousness and diligence.

5- Creating a Positive Competitive Environment that encourages students to continually develop their learning and academic achievements.

6- Encouraging Initiative and Developing Social Skills by enhancing students' communication, interaction, and teamwork skills.​

Benefits of joining the Dean's List:

1- Recognition of Students: Students are honored at the college's closing ceremony.

2- Publication of Names: The names of the students on the Dean's List are published on the college website in the sixteenth week of the second semester of the academic year.​

Paths of the Dean's List:

1. Academic Excellence Path:

A list extracted from Banner for students whose cumulative GPA is greater than or equal to 4.99, provided they have completed 50 credit hours or more.

2. Non-Academic Excellence Path:

A list for outstanding students based on the criteria outlined in Table 1.

Application Requirements for the Dean's List (Non-Academic Excellence Path):

  1. The cumulative GPA must not be less than 3.5 out of 5, with an official copy of the academic transcript attached.
  2. The student must not have received any failing grades or been barred from any course in the study plan.
  3. No disciplinary actions should have been taken against the student during their years of study at the college.

Mechanism for applying to the Dean's List (Non-Academic Excellence Path):

  1. The application should be sent to the email address.
  2. CCIS-SA-DL@PNU.EDU.SA, along with the required documents.
  3. The application period opens in the second semester, from the fifth week to the end of the tenth week.

The college is keen to continue its relationship with its graduates, because they have become experienced and practicing people in the labor market. We invite them to join the Walaa Initiative team, which is a great way for female graduates to remain contributors to the ongoing giving process. This is through the various activities of the college to transfer their knowledge and experience gained from the labor market to the college students.

An initiative concerned with providing developments in the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University to provide assistance and knowledge to future generations.
 

Our vision:

 To be an initiative with a contribution that extends its roots and roots to include all developments in the computer and information specializations.
 

Our message:

 Our Promising Generations initiative aims to be a reference that illuminates the awareness of new developments and introduces them to the most important regulations and facilities of Princess Noura bint Abdul Rahman University, to create a bright, exploratory and inspiring student environment. It also seeks to prepare our promising youth for the labor market by developing their public relations.​​

The college is keen to create a database for graduates of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, their specializations and means of communication with them.

Objectives:

  1. Creating a link between the graduates of the College of Computer and Information Sciences and the labor market in the event of the availability of suitable job opportunities.
  2. Inviting the graduates of the College of Computer and Information Sciences to attend and participate in the events held within the college (training courses - community services - seminars).
  3. ​Provide professional support.

Is an initiative aimed at preparing female graduates for the readiness test offered by the Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission.​

Professional certificates are credentials awarded to individuals upon completion of specialized training programs or standardized examinations in a specific field. These certificates are typically issued by professional organizations or accredited bodies, either locally or internationally. They verify that the holder possesses a defined level of knowledge and professional skills required for the job market and differs from traditional academic degrees by focusing directly on practical application and modern job functions.​

Initiative is an exhibition that showcases the graduation projects of bachelor's degree students in computer science and technology fields at Saudi universities' Computer Science Colleges. The exhibition provides these students with an opportunity to highlight their efforts and technological innovations by presenting their projects as scientific posters, accompanied by some presentations. The exhibition also includes a competition to select the most creative graduation projects, as well as another competition to choose the best scientific posters. The judging panel for both projects and posters consists of judges from various Saudi universities and business sectors related to computing, information technology, and communications.
