In light of the rapid changes in the labor market, and the increasing trend towards adopting professional skills and certificates as a criterion for measuring efficiency, professional professional certificates have become one of the main pillars to enhance the readiness of female graduates and raise their competitiveness in local and international work environments.
Based on the commitment of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to develop its educational outcomes, achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Human Capabilities Development Program, and promote the objectives of its strategic plan, the University Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs launched the "Professional Certificates Initiative", with the aim of building an integrated institutional system that supports female students to obtain professional certificates and licenses that are valuable in the labor market, and strengthens their connection to academic programs and various specializations.
About the initiative:
An institutional initiative launched by the University Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University with the aim of enhancing the readiness of male and female students for the labor market, by supporting them to obtain accredited professional certificates and licenses, and linking them to academic programs and various specializations, in a way that contributes to developing their specialized and professional skills, and raising their ability to compete in the labor market locally and internationally.
Objectives of the initiative:
1. Aligning academic programs with the requirements of the labor market, by defining professional certificates and tests related to different disciplines.
2. Enhancing the readiness of male and female students for professional competition, by encouraging them to obtain professional certificates that are valuable in the labor market.
3. Raising the level of awareness among students and faculty members about the importance of professional certificates and professional development paths related to academic disciplines.
4. Strengthen partnerships and cooperation with professional bodies and national and international accreditation bodies, in order to support the continuous development of academic programs.
5. Contributing to the improvement of institutional performance indicators related to employment, professional readiness, and academic competitiveness.

1. Preparing an institutional guide for accredited professional certificates and tests, categorized according to colleges and academic programs.
2. Developing matrices to align courses and professional certificates related to different disciplines.

Flexible Learning Pathways Initiative:
Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has launched the "Flexible Learning Pathways Initiative" with the aim of supporting the development of knowledge and professional skills among female students, and enhancing their readiness to join the labor market in a way that contributes to achieving the university's goals in developing skills, knowledge and values, and preparing competitive competencies that contribute effectively to the national economy.
The initiative is to provide flexible educational paths that include a set of training courses and professional certificates, provided in partnership with international universities and companies through the national e-learning platform FutureX, and linked to academic courses according to plans approved by the participating colleges.
Objectives of the initiative:
• Developing professional and cognitive skills among female students.
• Enhancing the readiness of female students to join the labor market.
• Providing flexible learning opportunities through specialized learning pathways.
- Enabling female students to benefit from the educational content provided by international universities and companies through the National E-Learning Platform.

The educational tracks are adopted and linked to academic courses according to plans approved by the colleges participating in the initiative.

Registration and Benefit Mechanism:
1. The educational track is included in one of the approved academic courses.
2. The student will be granted access to the track through the national e-learning platform FutureX.
3. The student completes the requirements of the specific training courses or professional certificates.
4. The student must submit the certificate or proof of completion of the course, according to the mechanism specified in the course.
5. The grade allocated for the track is counted within the approved evaluation requirements of the course.
Requirements for obtaining certificates:
* Adherence to the specific course or course requirements.
* Completion of all activities and requirements necessary for the issuance of the certificate.

* Upload the certificate or proof of completion of the course, according to the instructions approved in the course.

Academic Exemption Initiative from Studying a Course by Achieving a Professional Certificate:
The initiative allows the student to be exempted from studying an academic course when she obtains an accredited professional certificate that achieves the learning outcomes of the course, in accordance with approved academic controls and standards that ensure the quality of educational outcomes and the reliability of professional professional certificates.
Objectives of the initiative:
1. Standardization and regulation of procedures related to exemption from studying an academic course upon obtaining an accredited professional or professional certificate.
2. Determine the quality and reliability standards of professional and professional certificates eligible for academic exemption.
3. Promoting the culture of professional training and proving professional competence among university students and graduates.
4. Supporting the graduates' connection to professional and professional developments, and enhancing their communication with the authorities related to their specializations.
