​​​The tasks:​


1-Review study plans and ensure that they are consistent with the requirements of the National Qualifications Framework in terms of levels, number of hours of study, number of years.

2-Follow up and develop the study plans for academic programs and update them periodically so that they keep pace with scientific development and the requirements of the labor market.

3-Follow up the preparation, implementation and approval of course descriptions and academic program descriptions.
4-Periodic review of job classifications for academic program specializations.5-Periodic review of job classifications for academic program specializations.

6-Coordination with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to approve the job classification for specialties not classified in the classification manual.

7-Doing what is required by the Saudi Standard Classification in the study plans in terms of review and audit with the team of the Permanent

Technical Committee for Classification and the inclusion of the classification code for the level (SASCED-L) and the classification code for the specialization (SASCED-P) for each classified program.

8-Periodic review of the directory of specializations to fill educational positions in the Ministry of Education.

9-Preparing a procedural manual for academic programs

10-Holding special committees to study the study plans for academic programs in line with the labor market.

11-Studying changes in the study plans of academic programs and topics offered by colleges such as (modifying course vocabulary, modifying hours, changing references, changing course coding, equivalence of courses, changing a study reference, transferring a course from one level to another, disengaging between courses, modifying the prerequisite "adding or replacement", modifying elective courses..... etc).

12-Providing the Deanship of Admission, Registration and Colleges periodically with updates on the study plans approved by the University Council.

13-Preparing for the sessions of the Standing Committee for Plans and Curricula, and preparing its minutes.

14-Submit a quarterly report on the work of the unit.

15-​Providing forms for information and data related to plans and curricula and circulating them to colleges.
