About the Award
College of Education at Princess Nourah Bint AbdulRahman University aims to raise the level of the college's performance and stimulate the performance of its employees, hence, it has paid great attention to faculty members and support cadres from administrations in alignment with the university's efforts aimed at establishing a culture of excellence and creativity. The College of Education's initiative in launching the College's Excellence Award “Mumayyun" was a reference point for honoring and appreciating the distinguished faculty members. The award aims mainly to motivate competition, and develop and build the capabilities of the faculty members. It is an annual award that is subject to criteria in evaluating female candidates.
The award includes four main categories:
● Distinguished University Professor category.
● Distinguished Administrative staff Category.
● Distinguished educational department category.
● female students' list (dean's honorary list).
The award aims to appreciate the efforts of everyone belonging to the College of Education at Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University, and to create a positive competitive environment that supports excellence and creativity in a way that achieves the mission of the college and the university. It also aims to:
● Raising the level of performance of the college and its affiliates and to elevate them to the ranks of distinguished colleges locally and internationally, through:
● Appreciating and highlighting the distinguished practices in the College of Education at Princess Nourah Bint AbdulRahman University, highlighting achievements and stimulating educational and administrative performance.
● Spreading the culture of excellence, creativity, commitment, quality and mastery.
● Appreciating the faculty and staff of the college and highlighting their achievements, efforts, and distinction to advance academic, educational and administrative work.
● Encouraging positive and commendable competition between faculty members and striving for creativity, distinction and achievement.
● Encouraging students to achieve scientific achievement and creativity, and to participate in the service of the university and society, and to appreciate, reward and encourage the distinguished ones.
● To fuel the spirit of competition between female students who desire distinction and creativity, to honor them, and to urge them to obtain scientific awards.
● Activating college agencies, educational departments and administrative offices for evaluation mechanisms for members of the educational and administrative staff, and working to improve their performance.
● Motivating faculty members to use modern educational practices to achieve excellence in teaching performance.
Conditions
All staffs of the College of Education who meet the conditions are entitled to be nominated for the award.
No nomination will be considered unless the nomination form is accompanied by evidence and evidence on the basis of which the grades are placed in the award scale form
The required papers and documents shall be submitted on time, and all evidence and evidence on the basis of which grades are placed shall be attached, arranged according to the order of the nomination form.
The required papers submitted to the award committee, and the committee does not return any nomination to departments or members to complete its deficiencies
The candidate is excluded from the competition, and the award committee may request original documents from the applicants, and it is not obligated to return copies to the candidate whether she wins or not
The evaluation of the work shall be based on the performance of the faculty members, female employees, students, and educational departments during the academic year in which the award is granted.
The competent committee calculates the points for each female candidate, and awards the award to the candidate who has achieved the highest number of points according to the approved criteria and principles
The award committee selects one winner from each category at the college level
Those who received the award are not entitled to apply for the same award again.
The dean or members of the relevant committee are not entitled to nominate for the award
All data and information provided by the female candidates shall be dealt with in the strictest confidence, and will only be used for the purposes of preference for nomination for the Excellence Award
The award will be withheld if none of the female candidates achieve a minimum score of 75%
The award committee is obligated not to disclose the names of the winners until after the results are approved
Prize winners are honored at the college's closing ceremony at the end of the academic year.
Award Committee
The award committee is formed by a decision of the Dean of the College as an annual committee under the name of "The College of Education Award Committee for Excellence."
Tasks of the Committee
Receiving the files of applicants for the award and ensuring that the files meet the nomination requirements in accordance with the award criteria.
Evaluating the nominees' files in light of the selection criteria, and determining the winners in each award category.
Recommending the names of the winners and passing them to the Dean of the College.
Submitting the evaluation results to the Dean of the College.
Studying and expressing opinion on all topics referred to the committee related to the award.
Determining the conditions and procedures for awarding the award.
Holding meetings to discuss developments and follow-up matters related to awarding the award; Provided that the meetings are documented in ad hoc minutes, and submitted to the Dean of the College for approval.
Presenting awareness-raising workshops on the award, its stages and criteria, using appropriate means.
