About The Academic Program

In 2017, the Postgraduate Diploma in E-Learning program was launched, welcoming the first students, totaling 23 participants to take the program. The program is classified as the first program granting a higher diploma in e-learning in Arab universities, providing a competitive advantage for the college and the university. The diploma was introduced in line with Vision 2030, one of its key elements being the need to provide a coherent alignment between applied technical methodology and sciences. Considering them essential means for cultural, social, economic, and health development to elevate our nation and contribute to global cultural progress. The program contributes to the development of educational systems from traditional to e-learning, aligning with Vision 2030 and the goals of the National Transformation Program 2020, Which focuses on the qualification of graduates, including the field of education and e-learning. The program monitors its developments and applies them in all aspects of the educational process related to its implementation.

Nature and Goals of the Program

The diploma primarily focuses on developing graduates that combines educational qualification and practical experience. The program emphasizes the use of modern e-learning programs and services in interactive educational activities, transitioning to the professional application of e-learning and solving challenges

1. Enable pre-service teachers to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in global curricula, innovative teaching strategies, assessment, and demonstrate the ability to effectively integrate theory and technology in teaching practices.
2. Provide pre-service teachers with knowledge related to the philosophy and objectives of global curricula.
3. Instill in pre-service teachers the values related to appreciating the importance of cultural diversity as a means of human enrichment, and a means of integration and cooperation among students.
4. Enable pre-service teachers to participate and engage professionally with colleagues, parents, and the community.

1- Knowledge and Understanding: The student should be able to:
- Explain the elements of educational content and evidence-based teaching practices in teaching and learning.
- Clarify the components of global curricula, effective learning environments, learning theories, and the developmental characteristics of students in teaching English.
- Infer the importance of cultural diversity, tolerance, pluralism, and equity, and their impact on the teaching and learning process.
2- Skills: The student should be able to:
- Design and implement lesson plans using innovative teaching strategies in teaching English.
- Apply teaching and learning strategies and assessment methods to support differentiated instruction and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Practice reflection to address professional needs and issues related to teaching practices and apply pedagogical knowledge in decision making.
3- Values, Autonomy and Responsibility: The student should be able to:
- Recognize the value of cultural and linguistic diversity and the perspectives of others.
- Interact with members of the school community with respect and participate in professional learning communities.
- Commit to academic integrity and professional ethics.
