Collaboration Project with the Ahyaha Foundation

This project is a collaboration between the Office of Business and Project Management at the College of Education and Human Development at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and the Ahyaha Humanitarian Foundation to support the children at the Care Home by providing an educational, recreational, and behavioral program.

Key activities include:

  • Recruitment and Training of Volunteers: Sixteen senior-level university students in Early Childhood major were recruited to volunteer and trained for the project, with written consent obtained from their parents.

  • Site Visit: The project supervisor and the monitoring team visited the care home to determine the number of children, their ages, social and educational conditions, and to finalize the scientific and artistic programs to be provided in the classrooms.

  • Monitoring Volunteering Student Performance: The volunteers are monitored for discipline, performance, and adherence to the schedule of activities in the daily kindergarten program.

  • Biweekly Meetings: Regular meetings are held every two weeks with the students and care home staff to track the program's impact on the children and adjust as needed by the specialized team in coordination with the project supervisor.

  • Biweekly Training Sessions: A training session is provided every two weeks for all volunteer students along with the care home staff.
