The Psychology Department initially emerged as part of other specializations, such as educational foundations, curriculum and teaching methods, educational administration, and other related fields. All of these specializations were under the umbrella of the Department of Education and Psychology. Due to the significant qualitative development witnessed by Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, guided by a clear vision to fulfill its mission in serving the nation, its institutions, and its people, the approval was issued on 27/12/1428 AH by the Higher Education Council to establish a Department of Psychology at the university. This department aims to be a part of the system of psychology departments in Saudi universities that strive to serve the community, bridge the gap in qualified and specialized human resources in the field of psychology, and promote scientific research in this field.
