Distinguished University Professor Award

A faculty member is an essential focus in any educational institution that seeks advancement and progress. The educational system cannot be completed with its three dimensions: effective education and learning, sober scientific research, and community service. Except in the presence of a distinguished and ambitious university professor. In view of the College of Education's keenness to provide a stimulating academic climate for its faculty members, the College took the initiative to offer the Distinguished University Professor Award to open new horizons for creativity and honest competition, encourage positive competition among faculty members, enhance professional and academic growth, develop self-abilities to improve teaching skills, and use Modern teaching methods involving creativity and distinction. In order to make a real contribution to improving teaching and learning processes.

Conditions for applying for the award:

The applicant for this award must observe the following conditions:

●        She must have an excellent grade for the annual report for the academic year that precedes the year she applies for candidacy.

●        The candidate must have completed at least one academic year of teaching at the university.

●        That a faculty member be on the job, and not be on exceptional leave, or a scientific sabbatical during the candidacy period.

●        The nominated faculty member should not have any violations or disciplinary councils, or have been subjected to discipline and punishment in the past two years.

●        The prize winner is not entitled to run again; only after three years.

Award application procedures:

The procedures for applying for the award are:

●        A faculty member applies for the award by filling out the form on the college website and attaching the relevant documents. With following the instructions attached in the application, and submitting them to the award committee according to the times specified for nomination.

●        The award committee submits a report on the nominees to the Dean of the College, in which the committee's selection of the winner is determined at the college level. This is after screening the applicant candidates and evaluating them according to the standards and provisions of the stipulated bylaw.

●        The applicant must organize the nomination file according to what is indicated in the nomination form.

Mechanisms and criteria for evaluating applicants for the award:

The award committee forms a special jury of those with relevant experiences, as it reviews and sorts all the applications submitted to it, and the committee considers filling in the award form a confirmation by the faculty member giving the committee complete freedom to inquire about it, and contacting the current and former head of the department, as one of the evaluation methods That will be followed by the committee, and the committee can also resort to some means such as:

Award goals

The award seeks to develop the administrative process and improve the college's performance through:

●        Motivating female employees in the college to achieve quality and excellence in administrative performance.

●        Encouraging positive competition among female employees in the college for creativity in administrative work.

●        Developing an entrepreneurial spirit that contributes to the development and development of administrative processes in the college.

●        Enhancing creativity and excellence in administrative work to achieve the college's mission .

●        Supporting the trend towards sharing administrative experiences among female employees, to raise the quality of performance and enhance the spirit of cooperation to advance the administrative work of the college as a whole.

Terms of the award

Each candidate for the award must observe the following conditions:

●        To have an excellent grade in the job performance evaluation for the past year.

●        The employee's period of work in the administrative unit above which is advanced should not be less than one year of work.

●        A previously awarded prize winner is not entitled to apply for the award; Only after three years of winning.

●        That the employee is at her job and is not on exceptional leave, childcare or deputation during the nomination period.

●        The employee must be of good conduct.

●        The employee has not been subjected to job discipline and punishment in the past two years.

Nomination mechanisms and criteria for evaluating applicants for the award

The award committee undertakes the faculty; Which includes those with experience in receiving and evaluating nominations, and the committee also uses some evaluation tools, such as: current and former officials, personal interviews, female colleagues 'opinion, examination of some documents, examination and analysis of some meeting minutes, study of achievement reports, and the opinion of internal clients (female students, those dealing with The nominated employee from different departments within the college), as well as external clients.

1- Personal nomination by the employeeThe employee nominates herself for the Distinguished Employee Award through the following steps:

●        Fill out the nomination application form in the aspects related to the candidate.

●        Attach a CV explaining the various achievements.

●        Attach a recommendation from the line manager in the department in which you work.

●        Attach the evidence, testimonials, and evidence of the achievements mentioned in the CV.

●        Attach copies of course attendance certificates.

●        The development proposal for the employee's department.

●        Sample presentations from the employee's work using the latest presentation and design programs.

●        A report on the events and activities that the employee participated in, specifying her role in them.

●        A fingerprint scanner for attendance, departure and absence.

The award seeks to develop the educational process and improve the college's performance through:

●        Motivating departments in the college to achieve quality and excellence in administrative performance.

●        Encouraging positive competition between departments in the college for creativity in administrative work.

●        Developing an entrepreneurial spirit that contributes to the development and development of academic work.

●        Promoting creativity and excellence in academic and research work to achieve the college's mission.

Terms of the award

The section applying for the award must observe the following conditions:

●        That at least 60% of the department members have a scientific publication (authoring books, translating books, scientific papers, scientific articles, working papers at conferences); Attached is proof of scientific production.

●        That there should be a contribution from the faculty members in the department to attend or participate in internal or external scientific conferences during the year with proof of this being submitted.

●        That the department holds at least a "scientific seminar," or a "workshop," or a "scientific forum" in every semester, and the department submits proof of that.

●        That the department present a development plan for the department and its academic programs.

●        There should be a contribution from the members of the department in community service.

●        The department must have partnerships with the public or private sector.

Dean's honorary list; It is a quarterly award that includes the names of students from the bachelor's, master's and diploma stages who achieved distinguished academic performance during the semester, and was approved by the Deanship of the College of Education as part of its continuous efforts to support and develop the college environment and make it attractive and ready for creativity, scientific research and academic excellence. This list aims to distinguish students who have excelled academically during their studies, and to motivate them to give in a positive competitive atmosphere..

- Care and honor for outstanding students at the college level; to create a generation of distinguished young women in various academic and educational fields   .

Conditions for applying for the award:

- to be a regular student in the study       .

●        The student must have successfully completed a total of (20) credit hours.

●        That the student has not exceeded the statutory period for graduation.

●        That the student has not committed a violation that requires issuing a warning or penalty at the college or university level.

●        That the cumulative GPA of the student is not less than 3.75 out of 5.

●        That the student has not failed or been deprived in any of the curricula of the study plan during the study period.

●        That the student actively participates in the student and social activities of the college and the university.

●        That the student's skill record attests to the diversity of her skills, activities and interests.
