The General Directorate of Human Resources Organizes a Training Program on “Local Content Mechanisms in Government Entities” to Enhance Supplier Competence

The General Administration of Human Resources at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized a training program titled “Local Content Mechanisms in Government Entities” aimed at raising suppliers’ awareness and enhancing the application of excellence standards within the support and empowerment track, in accordance with the approved regulations and guidelines. The program focused on explaining government procurement mechanisms and their regulatory requirements related to local content, in addition to strengthening compliance with preference standards in government contracts. The program was delivered by Princess Nourah University faculty member, Ms. Huda Al-Abbad. The program covered several key areas, including: Definition of Local Content, Mechanism for Preferring Small and Medium Enterprises, Mandatory List Mechanism, Price Preference Mechanism for National Products, Local Content Weighting Mechanism in Financial Evaluation, and Minimum Local Content Requirements. The Director of Human Resources Development, Professor Amal Abdul Latif, explained that "these courses are a practical step to enhance the implementation of local content policies in the university's procurement practices and achieve excellence standards within the support and empowerment framework. The Director of the Human Resources Development Department, Ms. Amal Abdul Latif, explained that “these training programs represent a practical step toward strengthening the application of local content policies in the University’s procurement practices and achieving excellence standards within the support and empowerment track. " The program's implementation is part of the efforts of the General Directorate of Human Resources at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to contribute to achieving the University’s 2025 strategic objectives by enhancing competencies and building capabilities, thereby improving government procurement operations and keeping pace with best practices.
