Human Resources Department Implements Training Program on “Local Content Mechanisms in Government Entities”

The training program “Local Content Mechanisms in Government Entities,” organized by the Human Resources Development Department within the General Directorate of Human Resources, commenced last Sunday. The program aims to raise awareness and develop the capabilities of university staff in the field of enhancing local content in accordance with approved regulations and guidelines. The training program was presented by Ms. Huda bint Abdullah Al-Abbad, an administrative staff member, who reviewed the regulations and mechanisms related to prioritizing local content and their implementation in government entities. The program covered several important topics, including: the definition of local content, the mechanism for prioritizing small and medium-sized enterprises, the mandatory list mechanism, the price preference mechanism for national products, the mechanism for weighting local content in financial evaluation, and the minimum required local content. The implementation of this program is part of the General Directorate of Human Resources' efforts to enhance competencies and build capabilities, contributing to the improvement of government procurement operations and keeping pace with best practices. In this context, Ms. Amal Abdulatif, Director of the Resource Development Department, explained that this program reflects the university's commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at enhancing local content. She emphasized that developing staff capabilities in this area contributes to efficient spending and strengthens economic impact. She added that the Resource Development Department continues to offer high-quality programs that empower staff and improve institutional performance.
