The University is committed to implementing the Freedom of Information Regulations issued by the National Data Management Office, which aim to enable individuals to access public information produced by the University, in furtherance of the principles of transparency and accountability.


What is Freedom of Information?

Freedom of Information refers to public data and information that individuals may request access to. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Approved policies and regulations

  • Procedural manuals and plans

  • Statistics and public data

It does not include information exempted under the Freedom of Information Regulations, such as classified documents and information (Top Secret, Secret, Restricted), or information that affects privacy or security.


Guidelines for Requesting Access to Information

Any individual has the right to submit a request to access public information by following these steps:

  • Complete the Information Access Request Form

  • Clearly specify the information requested

  • State the purpose of the request

  • Submit the request through the approved channels

  • Receive an acknowledgment of receipt and follow up on the request status
