Vice Rectorate for Academic Affairs

Key Responsibilities •

Managing:

  • Providing the requirements of the educational process at the university requirements.​​
  • Establishing and following up implementation of the educational rules and regulations for the university stage.​
  • Coordination between university colleges at the bachelor’s level in everything appertaining to the curricula and teaching plans, and approving university books and references.​
  • Implementing the university’s admission and registration policies and following up on the application of approved standards in this regard.​

Improving:

Advancing the teaching and learning strategies to improve the targeted educational outcomes.​
Developing educational programs in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation requirements.​

Supervising and Following- up:

  • the academic programs to ensure that they obtain academic program accreditation.
  • the performance of the educational institutes, foundation year programs and their affiliated departments.  ​
  • the e-learning and distance learning system.​
  • Determining and follow-up provision of the rector's needs for manpower, equipment and materials. ​

Implementing:

  • ​Coordinating with the relevant authorities to implement academic programs and activities in order to achieve the development of the educational process inside and outside the university.​

Determining the Needs:

  • ​Providing the colleges’ needs of laboratories and equipment​

Partnerships:

  • ​Strengthening institutional partnerships to serve the educational process.​
  • Organizing student exchange programs with educational institutions locally, regionally and globally, which contributes to the application of best academic practices and the exchange of experiences.​

External Participation:

  • ​Representing the university in conferences, seminars, and local, regional, and international committees related to academic affairs.​
