Overview of College of Medicine

The College was founded in 1433 AH, based on the approval of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. The College of Medicine welcomed its first group of students at the start of the 1433-1434 academic year. The college aims to be a prominent institution, both locally and globally, in the fields of medical education, healthcare services, scientific research, and community outreach. Its mission is to advance the health standards within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by cultivating highly skilled and distinguished female physicians. This is achieved by integrating education and research within a comprehensive and innovative academic environment that plays an effective role in serving the community.

Dean’s Message

​The College of Medicine at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University is keen to create a supportive educational environment for female students of the College of Medicine. Recognizing the importance of inclusiveness, the College is committed to adapting the curriculum to the needs of female medical students by integrating different viewpoints and presenting influential women in the medical field. The curriculum will encourage their success and inspire them to excel in the profession they choose.

Moreover, the curriculum focuses on providing female medical students with the necessary skills to thrive in their careers. Critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, effective communication and digital literacy will be crucial in preparing future doctors for the challenges and opportunities in healthcare.

 The University of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman dedication to provide a supportive environment for female medical students is evident, and these initiatives will enable female students to make a meaningful impact in the field of health care and contribute to positive change.
