About the Department

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is one of the basic clinical departments in the College of Medicine at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. The department is interested in various activities including, academic, training and research. It also provides clinical training for fourth-year undergraduate female students. The department is also keen for the student to acquire basic skills in the field of specialty through modern teaching methods, which include, in addition to theoretical lectures, the use of the simulation and skills development centre at the university as a part of basic training, also includes clinical training in-patient wards, outpatient clinics, labor and delivery and operating rooms in hospitals. Its main objectives include: providing a rich educational environment for the students in the specialty of obstetrics and gynaecology, enabling the students to acquire basic knowledge and appropriate skills in the specialty, and contributing to scientific research and publication in the field of the speciality.
