About Student Services Office
The office strives to serve the students and provide them with support. It undertakes full supervision of all matters related to student affairs during their university studies, and provides intellectual, psychological, cultural, and professional care, as well as preparing the appropriate university environment for them.
Tasks:
- Supervising the activities of student clubs, events, competitions, and the college theater, in coordination with the Deanship of Student Affairs.
- Providing support services (grants and advances - housing - transportation - nutrition).
- Providing comprehensive student support (psychological and social counseling - services provided to students with disabilities).
- Providing graduate services and enhancing the continuation of a positive relationship with the college, in coordination with the University's Graduate Affairs Department.
- Providing skills support and vocational guidance for students and graduates, in coordination with the Vocational Guidance Center.
Psychological and Social Counseling
- Conducting individual interviews with the student to collect all data and information related to the problem, the history of the problem, and the extent of contribution of (the student, the family, friends, the community) to the problem and helping to alleviate and treat it.
- Comprehensive assessment to determine the nature and type of the problem, and the extent of the need to refer it to the psychologist.
- Referring the student according to her needs to the entities that contribute to solving the student's problem, with follow-up to ensure the level of case development for the better.
- Implementing rehabilitative treatment plans in participation with the psychologist.
- Contributing to observing and monitoring the academic and social problems of students within the college.
- Planning and implementing preventive and therapeutic programs and activities that are commensurate with the needs of the student, in a way that contributes to addressing academic and social problems.
- Continuous development of the level of advisory services for students in the college and empowering the student to access services within the university, in addition to submitting proposals that contribute to improving the university environment for the student.
