Agancies

​Preparing the annual plan for the College Academic Affairs Agency and follow up on its implementation after approval.
Implementing the regulations and rules governing the study and examination regulations for the undergraduate stage and ensure their application by the units under it.
Supervising the academic programs at the college level.
Supervising the progress of the academic process in the college and prepare the possible educational environment for distinguished teaching.
Proposing new interdisciplinary programs in the college and develop existing programs in coordination with the academic departments, and follow up on their implementation after approval.
​Supervise the work of the program quality assurance committees, tests and evaluation, and quality assurance, plans and curricula.
Supervise the application of the quality management system in the college and adhere to the standards of academic accreditation.​


Departments and Units
​Department of Educational Affairs

Tasks:
Following up on registration, schedules, and submit reports.
Following up on the progress of examinations and submit reports.
Following up on the educational process and submit reports.
Preparing a plan for academic advising in cooperation with the academic departments and follow up on its implementation.
Supervising the Orientation program.
Activating the work of the educational process committees (academic difficulty, equivalencies, Dean's list).​​​

​​Laboratory Management and Learning Resources

Tasks:
Supervising the college laboratories, inventory the laboratories and their contents on an ongoing basis, evaluate the condition of the equipment, and provide periodic maintenance in coordination with the university's laboratory unit.
Preparing schedules and organize internal and external reservations for laboratories and equipment.
Organizing the necessary training before using the laboratories and equipment.
Providing the laboratories with consumables and chemicals by submitting requests for educational needs to the concerned parties and following up on the requests.
Supervising the implementation of safety procedures in the laboratories (in coordination with the Safety Management and Radiation Control Administration).
Providing multiple information sources related to educational needs.
Supervising the college library and provide and update references according to the college's needs (in coordination with the Central Library).
E-Learning Unit
Tasks:

Following up on the inventory of electronic programs and courses within the college.
Providing contact information for members and coordinators of electronic courses.
Supporting course coordinators in case of technical problems.
Working to raise awareness of e-learning for all college members, including faculty and students.
Responding to initial inquiries from members and students and direct them to contact the technical support at the administration through available channels to solve problems.
Communicating continuously with the representative of the e-Learning Administration and report any problems and difficulties they have in the college.
Submiting periodic reports on the development and activation of courses to the e-Learning Administration.
Coordinating to hold introductory and orientation meetings for college students.
Self-Education Office

Tasks:
Developing the skills of faculty members and raise professional competence.
Identifying the training needs and necessary programs to develop the faculty members at the College of Medicine.
Developing the necessary future strategies to raise the skills of faculty members to achieve excellence and creativity in teaching and research.
Organizing the necessary lectures and workshops in the college in coordination with the academic departments.
Conducting workshops at the College of Medicine and support the participation of faculty members.
Evaluating workshops and development activities and analyze their feedback.
Accrediting workshops with accredited hours from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties in coordination with King Abdullah University Hospital.
Preparing attendance certificates for participants and certificates of appreciation for activity and workshop providers.
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and development to reach the model level in academic and professional performance.
Encouraging creative works and professional achievements of college members to achieve academic and administrative excellence.

• Supervising the postgraduate programs in the college, including their exams and committees.
• Proposing new postgraduate programs for the college and developing existing programs in coordination with the academic departments, and following up on their implementation after approval.
• Creating a supportive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Overseeing the development of partnerships and the college's relationships with external sectors.
• Establishing partnerships with relevant community and service sectors, and constructive interaction based on partnership and social responsibility.
• Overseeing the college's investments, development works, and specialized activities.
• Providing high-quality education, postgraduate studies, and research opportunities to produce medical cadres capable of excellence and creativity in scientific research.
• Contributing to providing a stimulating environment for scientific research, encouraging scientific competencies to continue their postgraduate studies, keeping pace with the rapid progress in medicine and technology, and motivating them to develop in the health field.

• Encouraging specialized scientific and professional competencies to pursue postgraduate studies and qualify them at a high level in various medical fields.

• Contributing to enriching medical knowledge in all its departments through specialized studies and scientific research.

Departments and Units
​Department of Post-Graduate Studies

​Tasks:

• Implement and follow up on the university and college's postgraduate studies policies.
• Follow up on postgraduate affairs and verify that the conditions and regulations of the unified postgraduate studies system in universities and its executive rules at the university are met.
• Coordinate with academic departments in all matters related to postgraduate studies.
• Follow up on student cases, compliance, and verification of the implementation of academic procedures within the specified periods in the regulations - according to the published annual university academic calendar.
• Follow up on the progress of the postgraduate studies committees in the college.​

Department of Partnerships and Community Responsibility
Tasks:
• Activate partnerships with the public, private and third sectors and enhance cooperation to achieve the college's objectives and enhance the future of its specializations (in coordination with the Strategic Partnerships Administration).
• Invest partnerships to serve the college's plan and enhance the specialized community partnership for students and affiliates in coordination with the departments and student clubs in the college.
• Create training opportunities for students through communication with external entities and making use of partnerships, and provide job opportunities in coordination with the academic departments and the Educational Affairs Administration in the college.
• Prepare a skills development and continuing education program and oversee the preparation of its courses and follow up with faculty members in the health colleges.

Research and Innovation Unit
Tasks:
• Prepare the annual plan for scientific research and the research priorities of the college in cooperation with the departments and follow up on its implementation after approval.
• Supervise the scientific associations and scientific fields in the college.
• Contact the academic departments and motivate faculty members to conduct research and follow up on the progress of the research work of faculty members and their equivalents.
• Contact and coordinate with other research centers inside and outside the university in all matters related to the nature of research and its marketing.
• Develop a culture of innovation in the college and provide logistical and technical support for innovations in coordination with the university's Innovation Center.


Office of Business and Project Management

Tasks:
• Develop self-resources and enhance income sources and follow up on the college's investment account through the Development and Consulting Services Institute.
• Benefit from the specialized expertise in the college and establish centers of excellence (in coordination with the Development Institute).
• Invest the college's assets in coordination with the competent authorities (Facilities and Investment Management).
• Review the proposed future projects on the college's websites and study the economic feasibility return to the college according to the college's strategic plan.
• Follow up on the performance of the college's ongoing projects with the project managers and ensure that they are progressing within the approved plan.

Responsibilities:

- Supervising the training affairs of interns and postgraduate programs according to the training program's axes.
- Supervising scientific activities related to training development and sustained partnerships.
- Supervising the affairs of faculty practitioners in hospitals and obtaining professional licenses.
- Supervising the certificate issuance procedures for interns after completing the training period and fulfilling training requirements.
- Supervising the annual recognition of training institutions and external supervisors.
- Supervising the performance of the Academic Titles Committee and reporting to the College Dean.
- Implementing educational programs that contribute to educating interns and equipping them with the necessary skills for practice and passing professional licensing exams.
- Monitoring the performance of interns and graduates in professional practice exams and providing necessary support for improvement.
 
 
The Vice Deanship of Training and Clinical Affairs at the College of Medicine, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, aims to qualify distinguished physicians with high competencies that meet global standards in medical education outcomes and practical application. Moreover, it strives to equip physicians with high-quality scientific and practical qualifications, capable of continuous self-learning and conducting scientific research, to ensure the promotion of health and community service. 
Internship and Training Department:

Responsibilities:

Training and Internship Management:



- Ensuring appropriate training opportunities for internship students at hospitals, companies, pharmacies, and other training institutions (in coordination with the University Clinical Training Unit).
- Handling administrative arrangements related to training courses, including training schedules, monitoring, and collecting grades from course supervisors.
- Supervising students' assessments and monitoring their grades.
- Establishing unified assessment criteria, models, and tools.
- Monitoring and resolving any issues encountered by internship students during the training period.
- Preparing internship student official documents for registration with the Saudi Medical Specialization Board after fulfilling the requirements.
- Sending and monitoring financial claims to external entities.
- Registering students for cooperative training outside the curriculum plan.
 
Professional Practice and Licensing Unit:Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

-Coordinating faculty members' hospital practice.
- Monitoring the acquisition and renewal of professional practice licenses for faculty members and addressing any interruptions.
- Monitoring the classification of faculty member certificates by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
- Monitoring the performance of healthcare services provided by the college at hospitals and medical clinics.
- Organizing the delivery of continuous medical education courses, including accredited hours from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
