Students of the College of Computer and Information Sciences Win the “OMAINTEC AWARD 2025” at the Asset, Facilities, and Maintenance Management Conference

A team of students from the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University won the OMAINTEC AWARD 2025 for Best Undergraduate Graduation Project in the field of smart facilities and asset management. The award was presented during the International Conference on Asset, Facilities, and Maintenance Management, held from January 12–14, 2026, at the Sofitel Hotel in Riyadh.
The award was granted for the project “Fanni”, a smart platform for campus management at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. The platform leverages artificial intelligence technologies to integrate and unify data from various operational systems into a single platform. The project was developed by students from the Computer Sciences Department: Abrar Alomari, Aryam Almutairi, Nouf Alabdulsalam, Hajar Alobaid, and Reem Alhudaibi.
The project aims to enhance operational efficiency, support predictive maintenance to reduce unexpected failures and improve equipment sustainability, optimize energy consumption, and promote sustainability through intelligent analytics and interactive dashboards. These features provide a comprehensive view that supports decision-making and contributes to the development of a more efficient and sustainable university environment.
The Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, Dr. Manal Al-Ohali, stated that the students’ achievement at this international conference reflects academic excellence and underscores the college’s commitment to providing a stimulating educational environment that fosters innovation, develops students’ skills in information technology and engineering, and delivers innovative solutions that meet future needs.
