The College of Computer and Information Sciences, represented by the Artificial Intelligence Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, has launched the “AI HUB – Artificial Intelligence Community” initiative. The initiative aims to promote a culture of innovation and technological entrepreneurship, and to raise awareness of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies among students and those interested in AI fields from various colleges across the university. The initiative seeks to empower female students by developing their technical and research skills through knowledge exchange and interactive engagement with faculty members and specialists. It also aims to prepare qualified national talent capable of competing in AI fields both locally and globally. The initiative includes three main tracks: • The Tech Entrepreneurship Track, which focuses on preparing students through innovation, development, and entrepreneurial guidance committees to transform ideas into viable and scalable startup projects. • The Digital Content Track, which contributes to raising national awareness of AI culture through the production of technical and educational content. • The Executive Track, which focuses on organizing tech meetups and fostering innovation in various AI domains. Participants in the initiative will gain technical and leadership experience that combines practical training with innovative application, helping to build a knowledge-driven university community that enhances AI skills and technological entrepreneurship. The initiative also includes a series of specialized workshops and training activities, such as: • “Generative Artificial Intelligence” workshop, • “Data Analysis” workshop, • “Cybersecurity” workshop, in addition to major technical events such as “AIthon” (Hackathon) and “Datathon.” Dr. Shrooq Al-Senan, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center at the College of Computer and Information Sciences, explained that the AI HUB is a sustainable platform that empowers university students with advanced digital skills, creating a tangible impact aligned with the university’s strategic direction in AI and future technologies. The initiative focuses on developing students’ capabilities and transforming them into practical solutions that serve society and enrich national technical content.
