The College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, represented by Tuwaiq Club, organized a specialized workshop titled “Cybersecurity Awareness” on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in conjunction with LEAP 2026. The workshop was held in collaboration with Exabeam × LogRhythm and brought together students from several universities in Riyadh. It aimed to raise awareness of cybersecurity concepts, develop specialized technical skills, and introduce participants to the latest practices and technologies in the field. The workshop addressed a range of key cybersecurity topics, including threat detection, security signal analysis, and cyber incident response. It featured presentations and interactive sessions designed to strengthen participants’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Dr. Manal Al-Ouhali, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, noted that the workshop reflects the College’s commitment to providing an engaging learning environment that keeps pace with rapid technological developments and enables students to acquire advanced knowledge and skills. She added that “strategic partnerships with specialized organizations, together with participation in global technology events, help connect academic knowledge with practical application while preparing qualified national talent to contribute to the future of technology and cybersecurity in Saudi Arabia.” The workshop also gave participants the opportunity to explore key areas of cybersecurity, the challenges facing the sector, and the technical and professional skills required by the labor market. This provided students with broader insight into potential academic and career pathways in one of the Kingdom’s key technology fields. The workshop is part of the College’s ongoing efforts to keep pace with the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving technology landscape, leverage global technology platforms and events to enrich students’ learning experiences, and strengthen their engagement with emerging developments in technology and cybersecurity.
