On Wednesday, 26 August 2026, the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized an orientation program for its newly admitted students for the 1448 AH academic year, welcoming a total of 607 students. The event aimed to support their academic transition and introduce them to the College’s educational environment, services, and programs available throughout their university journey. The program was attended by several College representatives and commenced with an introduction to the College and its academic departments, followed by presentations on key academic regulations, electronic services, study plans, communication channels, and the role of academic advising in supporting and guiding students throughout their studies. The event also featured a range of informational and interactive booths that provided students with insights into the College’s academic disciplines and programs, as well as the services and activities available to them, including career guidance, student support services, social services, library resources, the Computer Club, and student activities. These initiatives were designed to familiarize students with opportunities for developing both their academic and personal skills. During the program, Dr. Manal Al-Owhali, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, emphasized the importance of taking advantage of the various academic and technical programs, initiatives, and activities offered by the College, as well as participating in specialized courses, bootcamps, and events that contribute to the development of digital and practical skills and enhance students’ readiness for labor market requirements and developments in the technology sector. The organization of this orientation program reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to supporting the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan by preparing new students for a successful university experience, fostering their integration into the academic community, and providing an enriching and motivating educational environment that keeps pace with advances in the fields of Computer Science and Information Technology.
