The College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, in collaboration with Tuwaiq Academy, concluded the “Building Artificial Intelligence Models” training bootcamp, which engaged approximately 20 participants from both within and outside the University. Held at the Academy’s headquarters from 19 July to 6 August 2026, the bootcamp aimed to develop participants’ skills in building artificial intelligence models and enhancing their technical knowledge and digital capabilities. The program enabled participants to develop AI projects through the full project lifecycle, including data preparation and analysis, model development and training, and the creation of integrated AI solutions. Over the course of three weeks, the bootcamp offered an intensive learning experience that combined theoretical instruction with hands-on application, strengthening participants’ abilities to implement artificial intelligence technologies and develop innovative solutions while encouraging knowledge exchange and expanding access to specialized technical training opportunities. Dr. Manal Al-Owhali, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, noted that the bootcamp represents a model for programs that empower students and enhance their capabilities by providing practical opportunities to apply knowledge and develop innovative projects. Dr. Al-Owhali further emphasized that the bootcamp reflects the College’s role in advancing technical competencies and enhancing students’ competitiveness, contributing to community development and the preparation of highly qualified national talent in emerging technology fields. The bootcamp forms part of the College’s broader contribution to achieving the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan, which focuses on developing national talent, strengthening technical and digital skills, and preparing competitive graduates in artificial intelligence and future technologies that support digital transformation goals and meet evolving labor market needs.
