Students from the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University participated in a specialized Artificial Intelligence training program designed to prepare university students from across Saudi Arabia. The program was organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in partnership with Huawei and was held in Shenzhen, China, from 6 to 10 July 2026. The program introduced participants to the latest trends and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence across various sectors, bridging academic learning with real-world implementation while promoting innovation and entrepreneurship through the use of intelligent technologies to develop value-added solutions. The program also aimed to strengthen participants’ skills in innovative thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making. Over the course of five days, students gained comprehensive exposure to the field of Artificial Intelligence, beginning with foundational concepts and progressing through machine learning, deep learning, and foundation models, as well as exploring AI applications in business and emerging technologies such as smart buildings and autonomous vehicles. This experience contributed to the development of their technical and digital competencies. The program was delivered at Huawei’s Global Training Center under the supervision of international experts within a learning environment that combined academic knowledge with hands-on practical application. Participants included undergraduate students from Saudi universities specializing in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Big Data Science. This initiative reflects the College of Computer and Information Sciences’ commitment to supporting the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan by promoting excellence in teaching and learning, supporting innovative academic programs, and highlighting the leadership role of women in national and international development.
