Success of 2nd annual Scientific research competition of College of Health and Rehabilitation

College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences has successfully concluded the second scientific competition for scientific research. This annual event targets female students and graduates by providing them with a platform to showcase their scientific research and community services projects and a total of 14 project was presented and entered the competition which was Health Sciences Research Center.

A total of 56 participants witnesses this competition, which is designed to enhance scientific research culture, develop research skills, promote community service, as well as provide students with research experience by connecting them with faculty members at the university. It aims to support research communication between students and faculty members, while also reinforcing the values and principles of scientific research. The competition ultimately seeks to boost the quality of scientific production and publishing among female students

At the end of the event, top-performing students were recognized and awarded for their exceptional research contributions. The winners of the first three places were announced, as the project entitled “The Role of Occupational Therapy in Promoting Social Inclusion of Children with Autism Through Physical Activity" won first place in the community services category , while the research project entitled “How different preparation techniques affect patients' anxiety during  Magnetic resonance imaging preliminary study" ranked first in the research project category" , and the second place was the the research project entitled "The Effect of Common Hair and Body Products on MRI Image Quality", and the third place was the research project entitled "The Relationship between Body Mass Index and Health-Related Fitness"  Cross-sectional study".

It is worth noting that the research competition is one of the most prominent manifestations of interest in scientific research and community service, and annually witnesses an increase in the number of participants and attendance among female students, which reflects the quality of the educational process and the research skills.

The establishment of this competition annually exemplifies the initiative of the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences toward encouraging collaboration among students, promoting interdisciplinary approaches, and igniting intellectual discussions. The event also provided a valuable opportunity for students to network with faculty members, professionals, and potential research collaborators.

 

In conclusion, the2nd scientific Research competition at CHRS was an undeniable success, highlighting the remarkable research capabilities and achievements of our students. We are immensely proud of their accomplishments and grateful for the support and guidance provided by our faculty members, organizing committee. This event not only celebrated their achievements but also paved the way for further research endeavors and academic growth within PNU.​
