Launch of the training plan for the first semester of 1446 AH for Noura Houses for Educational Experiences

Noura Houses for Educational Experiences at the College of Education and Human Development at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has launched its first workshop in its training plan for the current semester, under the patronage of the Talent House, titled "The Art of Etiquette," on 13/3/1446 AH, corresponding to 16/9/2024. The workshop aims to develop participants' skills and enhance their understanding of general behaviors and etiquette rules. It covers topics such as the meaning of etiquette, etiquette in relationships with others, clothing etiquette, gift etiquette, and hospitality etiquette, targeting various segments of society and interested individuals.

It is noteworthy that this semester's plan consists of nine training workshops scheduled to take place at specific dates throughout the first semester until its conclusion. The workshops encompass activities from all three houses: the Talent House, which offers two workshops—The Art of Etiquette and Table Decoration Art—aimed at presenting innovative ideas for table decoration using household items, targeting young women, housewives, and enthusiasts.

The Digital House offers a workshop on "Concepts and Applications of Artificial Intelligence," which aims to provide an understanding of artificial intelligence and its significance today, as well as how to activate various related strategies through a deep understanding of its applications and professional and daily uses. The workshop targets specialists and interested individuals, covering key areas such as:

- Data analysis
- Performance improvement
- Educational content creation

The Consulting and Professional Development House features several diverse topics, including:

1. **Values-Based Teaching Workshop:** Participants will learn to define values, deduce their importance for individuals and society, identify sources and components of values, classify values, and apply teaching methods for values assessment.

2. **Initiative Development Skills:** This course focuses on enabling participants to master initiative development through clear steps, defining sources of initiative ideas, and enhancing the initiative's lifecycle. It targets those working in development and all interested individuals.

3. **Supporting Learning Environments Workshop:** Aimed at enabling participants to plan lesson objectives according to learners' needs, plan classroom discipline, identify technological applications that contribute to classroom management, and clarify appropriate seating arrangements for students. This workshop targets faculty members and teachers.

4. **Essentials of Professional Project Management Workshop:** This workshop aims to introduce participants to all aspects of project management, applying skills, knowledge, tools, and techniques used in project management to ensure success and achieve desired goals. It will cover the ten knowledge areas in project management, detailing risks and team management, targeting employees in university project management offices and all interested individuals.

5. **Preparation for Cognitive Ability Tests (Verbal and Quantitative):** This workshop helps participants process quantitative information, develop visual adaptability using images and geometric shapes, and enhance their ability to conceptualize two-dimensional drawings as three-dimensional objects. It also aids in understanding word meanings and relationships, fostering logical reasoning skills through deductive and inductive reasoning. It targets administrative staff, job seekers, graduates, and interested individuals, aiming to prepare them to pass cognitive ability tests effectively.

The training methods include in-person workshops and lectures, as well as online formats through modern applications that support and facilitate training in line with technological advancements, such as the Teams program used in the Supporting Learning Environments workshop.

Noura Houses for Educational Experiences is committed to diversity and inclusivity in its training plan this semester, covering a wide range of training needs based on a survey distributed to college staff, incorporating their feedback. The workshops aim to transfer knowledge and skills through the expertise of faculty members and qualified professionals with distinguished scientific backgrounds.​
