Students from the College of Computer and Information Sciences Achieve Second Place in the "Transthon" Hackathon

The "Sindaan" team from the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah University won second place in the "Transthon" Hackathon for 2025, competing against over 220 teams from across the Kingdom. The event was organized by the General Authority for Transport. The hackathon featured virtual sessions with expert mentors aimed at developing innovative ideas to enhance transportation processes using modern technology, and creating technological solutions to support the transportation and logistics sector in the Kingdom. The "Sindaan" team secured second place for their graduation project, presented by students Anfal Al-Khredis, Rama Al-Otaibi, Wijd Ben Haza, and Ghidaa Al-Anzi. Their project is a smart solution designed to improve the experience of hearing-impaired individuals in public transportation, reflecting their academic and creative excellence. Dr. Manal Al-Ohali, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, explained that “this participation opens new horizons for students to work in the transportation and logistics sectors, enhancing their skills in analysis and problem-solving, which further strengthens their position in the technological job market.” It is noteworthy that the "Transthon" Hackathon is an annual event aimed at motivating innovators, developers, and entrepreneurs to create technological solutions for the transportation and logistics sector. The event saw wide participation from university students, professionals, and entrepreneurs from various industries.
