About the Vice Deanship
The Vice Deanship is administratively linked to the College's Dean . It is responsible for overseeing educational affairs, laboratories, learning resources, the e-learning unit, and the quality of education and learning within the College. This encompasses continuous monitoring at the college level to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Departments and Units
Department of Educational Affairs
Tasks:
- Monitor registration and schedules and report on them.
- Track the progress of examinations and report on them.
- Oversee the educational process and report on it.
- Prepare the academic advising plan in collaboration with academic departments and follow up on its implementation.
- Supervise the new student orientation program.
- Activate the activities of the educational process committees
E-Learning Unit
Tasks:
- Track the inventory of electronic programs and courses within the college.
- Provide contact information for members and coordinators of electronic courses.
- Support course coordinators in case of technical issues.
- Promote awareness of e-learning among all college affiliates, including faculty members and students.
- Handle initial inquiries from members and students, directing them to contact technical support at the university's e-learning department through available channels to resolve issues.
- Maintain continuous communication with the e-learning department representative and report any problems or difficulties faced by the college.
- Submit periodic reports on course development and activation to the e-learning department.
- Coordinate orientation sessions and preparatory meetings for college students.
Department of Education and Learning Quality
Tasks:
- Prepare the annual plan for the Education and Learning Quality Management and follow up on its implementation after approval.
- Contribute to the preparation of the college’s executive plan through membership in the College Strategic Plan Development Committee.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with quality standards in developed or newly introduced programs through membership in the Academic Programs Development Committee.
- Promote a culture of excellence in education and learning and build the capacities of college affiliates in coordination with the Excellence in Education and Learning Program.
- Promote a culture of quality and academic accreditation and nominate for internal and external courses in the field of education and learning quality in coordination with the Deanship of Development and Quality.
- Ensure the completion of quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements for all college programs and archive them electronically.
- Monitor the development and continuous improvement processes of all college programs.
- Perform other tasks related to the specialty as assigned.
