Epidemiology Program

Mission :
Preparing specialized health cadres with competitive ability who have knowledge and skills in the field of epidemiology, scientific research and community service in order to contribute in improving public health.​​

Goals :

1-Provide qualified female epidemiologist who are capable of to practice within all fields of epidemiology frameworks.
2-Conducting epidemiological research that contributes to the study of epidemic diseases and public health problems.
3-Develop Partnership and community services to combat infectious and non-communicable diseases nationally and internationally.

The academic nature of the specialization:
The Epidemiology program graduate should have in-depth knowledge of epidemiology science, use modern technology effectively to be compatible with the contemporary digital world, and information competence. She has to be highly qualified in research, innovation and planning. She should rely on setting priorities for critical & creative thinking in solving problems. She has to be able to develop herself  to adapt to change. She should have the ability to make decisions, take responsibility and manage conflict effectively. She has to participate effectively in teamwork and communicate within the social context to spread emotional intelligence skills. She should have a broad understanding of Saudi values and identity to respect other cultures within the social and cultural diversity of Saudi society. She has to be able to manage time, and to have a sense of responsibility, cooperation and altruism, which is reflected in her participation in various areas of community service and volunteering in the field of epidemiology.​

Employment opportunities or fields available to Graduates:
The graduate will be qualified to work as an Epidemiologist in:
  -Ministries and agencies concerned with community and public health
  -Governmental and private hospitals.
  -Health centers and universities
  -Research centers.
