Research centers are crucial in today's world due to the growing influence of knowledge, innovation, and technological advancements. They play a key role in driving progress and comprehensive development. In this sense, the Research Center at the College of Arts, established on 10/1/1435 AH, focuses on research, projects, and educational programs in humanities and social sciences, contributing to the university's vision of achieving leadership and excellence.

Objectives :

  • Promoting and advancing scientific research across various fields by funding research projects and fostering collaboration with both the private and public sectors.
  • Aligning research policies with the university's objectives and the needs of the community.
  • Supporting distinguished faculty members and graduate students through excellence awards for exceptional researchers.
  • Ensuring high-quality research outputs by creating a supportive and well-organized research environment with clear procedures.
  • Encouraging innovative and original research, particularly studies that contribute to strengthening Islamic, Arab, and national identity.
  • ​Enhancing research quality by identifying faculty development needs and coordinating with the Deanship of Development to offer relevant training programs. 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Developing the center's annual plans and overseeing their implementation once approved. 
  • ​Proposing research goals and policies for the academic departments within the College of Arts and ensuring their effective implementation.  
  • Engaging with academic departments and motivating them to implement initiatives that advance research.
  •  Promoting the formation of interdisciplinary research teams and groups.
  • Supporting research projects in line with established research regulations and guidelines. 
  • Improving research quality by identifying faculty training needs at the College of Arts and coordinating with the Deanship of Development to organize relevant training programs. 
  • Submitting requests for the publication of outstanding theses, academic books, study materials, and research papers. 
  • Establishing a comprehensive database to track the scientific output of faculty members at the College of Arts.
  • Developing a database to track ongoing research projects and monitor their progress according to the approved plans for each study. 
  • Creating a database for completed research to facilitate sharing with universities and research centers relevant to each field.
  • Establishing a database of faculty reviewers across various disciplines at the university.
  • Supporting researchers by establishing partnerships with specialized centers and organizations to exchange information, share expertise, and offer assistance as needed.
  • Providing scientific consultation to relevant institutions within the college's areas of expertise.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks assigned within its scope of responsibility.​
