In alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, which aspires to build an ambitious nation where nurturing talent is an essential component of achieving its goals, the Department of Arabic Language seeks to foster and develop promising literary talent among its students. The Department is enriched by students with emerging literary abilities, reflected in diverse and creative literary works, as well as by faculty members whose academic, literary, and critical expertise has been recognized in local and international forums. These faculty members provide emerging talent with guidance, evaluation, and constructive feedback.

Building on these strengths, the Literary Talent Unit was proposed as a means of coordinating efforts to nurture literary talent and provide an environment conducive to creativity and excellence, in support of the aspirations of the Kingdom and the University.

The Scientific Research Unit in the Department of Arabic Language also aims to advance research by proposing initiatives that promote the development of scientific research, identifying and addressing challenges, and facilitating the research process by helping overcome obstacles that may hinder research activities within the Department.
