College of Humanities and Social Sciences Organizes Cultural Events in Conjunction with World Arabic Language Day

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences, represented by the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, organized cultural events on Tuesday, 2 December 2025, in conjunction with World Arabic Language Day, held at the college premises. The events included a variety of programs and presentations that highlighted the importance, richness, and authenticity of the Arabic language, aiming to raise awareness of the importance of its use and demonstrate its cultural depth and development. The Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Fatimah Al-Qubaisi, delivered a speech on this occasion, followed by a speech by the Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Dr. Raedah Al-Malki, which addressed the status of the Arabic language and its role in strengthening cultural identity. The event featured a visual presentation titled “We Are Proud of It,” a poetry recitation titled “The Wedding of Al-Dad,” embodying the beauty and elegance of the Arabic language, a literary dialogue presented by female students from the Department of Arabic Language, a dialogue session titled “The Reality of the Arabic Language and Pride in It,” and a presentation of the “Arabiyyah” initiative in its third edition, which reviewed a series of linguistic studies on marketing slogans of Saudi events. The event also included a poetry recitation titled “The Language of Pride.” At the conclusion of the event, participants and organizers were honored, and certificates of appreciation were presented in recognition of their efforts.
