The College of Humanities and Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Deanship at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, announced the opening of registration for the second edition of “Princess Nourah University Arabic Language Competition” for the current academic year. Registration continues until Saturday, 1 January 2026. The competition reflects the university’s role in enhancing the status of the Arabic language among students, strengthening its cultural value, deepening national and human values, and creating a competitive environment that enriches linguistic creativity. The competition aims to enhance students’ creative abilities in expressive and performance fields, employ modern technologies in serving the Arabic language, and prepare students for participation in the Cultural and Scientific Forum for Female Students in GCC Universities and Higher Education Institutions, in addition to producing innovative works that foster creativity. The competition includes three main sections, Writing Arts (Poetry, Short Story, Scriptwriting), Performance Arts (Debates, Oral Storytelling), Visual Arts (Digital Children’s Story, Arabic Calligraphy). A number of specialized workshops will also be held to increase participants’ readiness. Judging will be conducted by qualified academic committees from the Department of Arabic Language and Literature. Last year, the competition attracted more than 55 students from diploma, bachelor’s, and postgraduate programs. “Princess Nourah University Arabic Language Competition” embodies the college’s efforts to support the university’s Strategic Plan 2025 and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which places great emphasis on the Arabic language as a pillar of national identity.
