About the Academic Advising Unit:

The Academic Advising Unit provides advisory services that assist students in adapting to the university environment and achieving their academic goals by enhancing their awareness of academic responsibilities and supporting their educational journey.

The unit is committed to facilitating and addressing any challenges students may face and continuously strives to provide them with the necessary information and guidance. This is achieved by providing the students with the Academic Guide, list of academic advisors and their contact information.

As part of its commitment to supporting students and facilitating academic procedures, the unit provides a set of important forms, including:

Graduate Affairs Unit Overview
The Graduate Affairs Unit, operating under the Student Services Administration at the Institute, is dedicated to fostering an enduring relationship with the Institute's alumnae. The Unit seeks to celebrate their accomplishments, support their continued growth, and strengthen their sense of belonging to the Institute community — even beyond graduation.

Objectives:

1.To maintain continuous engagement with the Institute's alumnae and follow their academic and professional achievements.

2.To organize periodic gatherings in the alumnae's home countries, creating bridges of connection and inspiring current students through empowering experiences and success stories.

The Social Counseling Unit is dedicated to providing comprehensive psychological and social support services for university students, aiming to enhance their emotional adjustment and promote psychological and social stability within the university environment.

The unit develops and implements specialized training programs for social workers to strengthen their professional competence and knowledge, in addition to designing counseling and awareness programs directed toward students.

The unit's mission is to provide high-quality psychological and social consultations and to organize developmental and preventive programs that foster mental health and contribute to improving the overall quality of university life.

Unit Objectives:

1. Receive and assess cases referred to the specialist's office.

2. Conduct case studies and provide systematic follow-up.

3. Offer appropriate therapeutic and counseling sessions.

4. Enhance the quality of counseling services provided to students in the university campus.

5. Promote psychological and social adjustment and provide support for students within the university campus.

6. Deliver psychological and social consultations to university students.andconsultation.

The Importance of the National Volunteer Work Platform

Organizing Volunteer Work:

The platform contributes to organizing the relationship between volunteers and entities offering volunteering opportunities by establishing a clear and transparent framework that ensures the rights of all parties and enhances the efficiency of volunteer work.

Promoting the Culture of Volunteering:

The platform seeks to foster a culture of volunteerism and encourage active participation by facilitating access to suitable volunteering opportunities and supporting both individual and group initiatives. Developing Volunteers' Skills

The platform helps volunteers develop their skills and gain practical and professional experience through participation in diverse activities that contribute to their personal and professional growth.

Achieving the Goals of Saudi Vision 2030:

The platform supports the realization of Saudi Vision 2030 by contributing to the national target of reaching one million volunteers annually and by strengthening the role of the non-profit sector, in alignment with the National Volunteer Work Platform.

Ongoing Community Engagement Activities:

1- Language Partner Program:

An initiative organized by the Student Services Department that connects an Arabic-speaking student with a non-Arabic-speaking student. The two meet in friendly conversational sessions to learn Arabic and explore Saudi culture. The program aims to enhance communication skills and promote cultural exchange among students. Volunteer hours are recorded according to a defined mechanism.

2-  Illuminations in Grammar" Course:

A specialized course offered to level-three students, designed to develop their grammatical skills in Arabic.

3-World Arabic Language Day:

Celebrated annually on December 18, this year the Institute will organize a forum titled “Teaching Arabic in Light of Artificial Intelligence Technologies."

4-Harf" Competition:

A national initiative launched by the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language to strengthen the presence of Arabic among non-native speakers. The initiative aligns with the Academy's mission to create an environment conducive to developing and promoting the Arabic  language. It seeks to:

· Enhance scientific and intellectual activities related to Arabic.

· Encourage mastery of Arabic learning, performance, and practice.

· Foster a competitive environment that supports the development and consolidation of the Arabic language.

5-Artificial Intelligence Applications in Scientific Research:

A training course that aims to clarify the ethical and methodological guidelines for using artificial intelligence technologies in academic research.

6-Saudi National Day:

The Institute celebrates the National Day each year on September 23, commemorating the unification of the Kingdom by King Abdulaziz Al Saud. The celebration includes cultural and national events organized within the Institute.

7-Founding Day:

Celebrated annually on February 22, this national occasion marks the founding of the first Saudi state in 1727 by Imam Muhammad bin Saud. It symbolizes the beginning of a state built upon unity, stability, and continuity.

8-World Alzheimer's Month:

Observed annually in September, this global campaign aims to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease, support patients and their families, highlight the importance of early detection, and promote scientific and healthcare knowledge regarding the condition.

9- Breast Cancer Awareness Month:

Observed in October, this global initiative raises awareness about the importance of early screening, supports patients, and encourages preventive health practices. Educational and awareness activities are held to promote women's health and spread hope for recovery.

10-Research Instrument Review for Graduate Students (Teaching Arabic as a Second Language Program):

Providing academic support and professional review of research instruments developed by postgraduate students specializing in Teaching Arabic as a Second Language.

11-Residential Activities During Eid and Ramadan:

A variety of cultural and social events organized in student housing during Eid and the month of Ramadan to enhance social engagement and cultural exchange among residents.
