The Teaching and Learning in Healthcare Program (Third Edition) is a unique opportunity for residents, fellows, and healthcare providers (males & females) interested in education, precepting, and mentorship.
This program is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and awards a certificate valid for five years.
Program Overview
- Duration: December 2025 – May 2026
- Designed for: All healthcare professionals, including residents and fellows
- Modules: 7 modules and 6 structured activities
- Format: Lectures, teaching and precepting experiences, and development of a teaching portfolio
- Mentorship: Each participant will be paired with expert faculty from Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University for guidance throughout the program
Program Objectives
- Identify the educational learning theories and define the principles of learning
- Identify effective teaching techniques that can be used in both academic and clinical settings
- Demonstrate proficiency in the design and delivery of formative and summative assessments to evaluate learners' progress effectively
- Demonstrate the essential teaching and precepting skills
- Critically appraise the scientific literature and procedure recommendations for practice
- Develop a teaching portfolio and a personal teaching philosophy that aligns with individual values, goals, and teaching styles

Healthcare professionals with a bachelor's degree or higher, including residents, fellows, and those interested in teaching and precepting in healthcare
