The College of Pharmacy at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University participated in the 6th Innovative Visions in Hospital Pharmacy Conference, held from May 30 to June 1, 2024, at The Arena Center in Riyadh. Organized by the General Administration of Pharmaceutical Care, Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, the conference aimed to present innovative perspectives and best practices in hospital pharmacy, discuss developments and innovations in the field, enhance patient-centered care and medication management, and introduce modern technologies and automation in hospital pharmacy.
The college was actively involved in several activities and initiatives. Dean Dr. Najla Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri participated as a panel speaker in a session titled "Integrating Pharmaceutical Education with Health Transformation Requirements in Hospitals." Dr. Amina Saleh also contributed to the conference through the "Speed Networking" initiative. The Pharmacy Club also took part in the conference's accompanying exhibition, where they showcased their activities, engaged with experts, and highlighted the college's academic and research strengths.
The College of Pharmacy's exceptional contributions were recognized with several awards. The Pharmacy Club was named Best Student Pharmacy Club among Saudi universities. Furthermore, students Al-Anoud Al-Shammari, Al-Hanouf Al-Ruwaihi, and Shatha Al-Sulaiman earned first place for their project "Raskala." Additionally, student Sumaya Bin Salih received third place for Best Scientific Poster in the student category for her research titled "Local Anesthetic Infiltration for Pain Control in Aesthetic Breast Reduction Surgery: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials."
