Vice Deanship Key Responsibilities
- Supervising the affairs of internship students and postgraduate programs in accordance with the axes of the training program.
-Overseeing the scientific activities related to the development of training and ongoing partnerships.
- Supervising the affairs of practitioners from the college members in the hospitals and obtain professional licenses.
-Supervising the issuance of internship completion certificates after the end of the training period and the completion of the training requirements.
-Supervising the annual honoring of training bodies and external supervisors.
-Supervising the performance of the Academic Titles Committee and report to the Dean of the College.
-Implementing educational programs that contribute to educating interns and equipping them with the necessary skills for practice and passing the professional licensing exam.
-Following up on the performance of students and graduates in the professional practice exam and provide the necessary support for improvement.
Departments and Units
Department of Training and Internship
Tasks:
-Ensuring appropriate training seats for training and internship students with hospitals, companies, pharmacies and other training entities (in coordination with the University's Clinical Training Unit).
-Performing the administrative arrangements related to the training courses, including training schedules, follow-up, and collection of grades from the course supervisors.
-Supervising the evaluation of students and record the grades.
-Determining unified evaluation criteria, models and tools.
Following up and solve any problems faced by internship students during the training period.
-Preparing the internship student's proof for registration in the Medical Specialties Commission exam after fulfilling the requirements.
-Sending and following up on financial claims to external entities.
-Registering students in cooperative training outside the curriculum.
Preparing an educational program for fifth-year students to get ready for the internship year.
Professional Practice and Licensing Unit
Tasks:
-Coordinating the practice of members in hospitals.
-Following up on members' obtaining and renewing professional practice licenses and address interruptions.
-Following up on the classification of members' certificates at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
-Monitoring the performance of health services provided by the college in hospitals and medical clinics.
-Organizing the provision of continuous medical education courses, including accredited hours from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
