About The Academic Program

Nature and Goals of the Program

The program provides students with the necessary knowledge about the concepts, theories, and fundamental principles associated with radiation therapy. Students will be able to effectively use modern technology and apply acquired theoretical knowledge to conduct radiation therapy examinations on patients accurately and safely. They will demonstrate critical, innovative, and creative thinking abilities, adapting to diverse environments through self-learning and participation in learning situations that encourage the development of professional competencies related to radiation therapy. They will also have leadership skills necessary for utilizing their intellectual capacities fully in various settings related to the practice of radiation therapy, being a good listener and clear communicator in healthcare and community service contexts. Additionally, they will adhere to professional performance standards and the code of ethics for the radiation therapy profession, taking responsibility for raising awareness in the community about the benefits and risks of radiation used in therapeutic procedures.

All government and private hospitals specialized in cancer treatment, clinics, primary health centers, research centers, energy, radiation studies and renewable energy centers, radiation protection centers, and their attachments, as well as universities.

Program Details

  1. 1-To provide the graduate with the knowledge and skills needed within the field of radiation therapy.
  2. 2-To enhance the graduate’s professional characteristics, communication and leadership skills needed within the field of radiation therapy.
  3. 3-To enable the graduate to contribute effectively in promoting health and radiation safety in the society.
  4. 4-To provide the graduate with the research skills needed to conduct research to develop the field of radiation therapy.

  2. K1-Recognize the basic theoretical and clinical sciences within the scope of the Radiation Therapy and research.
  3. K2-Determine the roles and responsibilities of Radiation Therapy specialist in different health care settings.
  4. Skills:
  5. S1-Apply didactic and clinical information using patient case studies.
  6. S2-Demonstrate the ability to recognize and resolve inconsistencies in patient set-ups and treatment procedures.

  8. V1-Assess leadership, ethical and professional behavior in various healthcare settings.
  1. 1-Knowledgeable of the basic concepts, theories and principles associated with the field of Radiation Therapy Technology.
  2. 2-Capable to use recent technology effectively as well as use the attained theoretical knowledge to perform Radiation Therapy simulation and treatment in an accurate, safe and timely manner in different contexts.
  3. 3-Innovative and creative in solving problems related to different challenges of radiation therapy.
  4. 4-Adaptable to different environments through self-learning and through participation in learning situations that encourage development of competencies and professional characteristics related to the Radiation Therapy Profession.
  5. 5-Capable of displaying leadership required for the full use of their intellectual abilities in different environments.
